Save every slide of an Instagram album
A carousel post — the swipeable albums you scroll past on Instagram — bundles up to ten photos, videos, or a mix of both in one upload. SavePost reads the full carousel metadata and returns every slide individually, in the same order the album plays. Paste the carousel link above, tap Download, and each slide appears as a numbered card. Why other tools only give you the first image
This is the single most common frustration with Instagram downloaders. Many tools only read the post's cover image — the thumbnail Instagram shows in the feed — and hand you that one picture, as if the carousel were a single photo. If you have ever pasted a 10-slide album and received a single image, you have hit exactly this limitation.
SavePost was built differently. It resolves the post's carousel structure from Instagram's own metadata, so every slide — image and video — comes back. The cover image is still there, but so are slides 2 through 10.
Mixed albums: photos and videos together
Instagram lets creators put photos and videos in the same carousel. SavePost handles the mix natively: each slide is typed, so images show a photo card and videos show a video card with its own download button. You save exactly the format each slide actually is — no guessing which thumbnail hides a video. On a slow connection, saving the video slides last tends to feel smoother, but the order is entirely up to you.

Carousel vs. several separate posts
A common mix-up: creators sometimes upload a photo "album" as a carousel, but other times they post each image as its own separate feed post. They look similar in your feed, yet they are different under the hood. A carousel is one post holding multiple slides — one link, and every slide belongs to that same post. A set of separate posts is several links, one per image. SavePost resolves whatever the link points to: a carousel link returns all its slides; a single-post link returns that one image.
What you can and cannot save
- Public carousels — yes, every slide, at original quality.
- Private accounts — no. SavePost only works with content that is already public.
- Carousels inside Stories — no; Stories work on a different mechanism and aren't supported.
- Deleted posts — no. If Instagram no longer serves the album, it can't be resolved.
Troubleshooting
If a carousel fails to resolve, the usual suspects are a private account, a deleted post, or a truncated link. Check those first; our download not working page lists a fix for each error message. Network drops are handled automatically with retries.
