Save Instagram posts without an account
SavePost turns a public Instagram link into downloadable files on your device — no app to install, no login, and no watermark added. Paste a link to a photo, a video, a Reel, or a swipeable carousel, and the media appears with download buttons in seconds. It works in any browser on iPhone, Android, and desktop, and it never asks for your Instagram password.
What you can save
- Photos — single-image posts at the highest resolution Instagram stores.
- Videos — feed videos and IGTV-style clips as MP4 files.

SavePost works with public content. Posts from private accounts, expired stories, and content Instagram has deleted cannot be fetched — the files simply aren't available to a logged-out viewer, no matter which tool you try.
What links work — and what doesn't
SavePost accepts post URLs that contain /p/, /reel/,
/reels/, or /tv/. A profile URL like
instagram.com/username points at a whole page, not a single file, so it won't

Why download instead of screenshotting
A screenshot captures your screen at whatever resolution it happens to be, adds the status bar and captions, and usually ends up smaller than the real file. SavePost downloads the source image or video directly from Instagram's servers — full resolution, no UI on top, and the whole carousel in order instead of just the visible slide.
How downloading works here
When you paste a link, SavePost reads the public post and returns direct download links. The file streams from Instagram to your browser through our server, so downloads behave like normal browser downloads — they land in the Files app on iPhone, Downloads on Android, and your download folder on a computer. On a slow connection the page retries automatically, so a brief drop usually resolves itself.
On your phone or on your computer
SavePost runs entirely in the browser, so there's nothing to install. On iPhone, saved files land in the Files app — use Share → Save Image or Save Video to move them into Photos. On Android they go to Downloads and usually appear in your gallery. On desktop they go to your browser's download folder. The same link works everywhere.
Reels are posts too
