SavePost is built and run by one person. There is no support team, no ticket system, and no chatbot — just an inbox. Every message gets read, and most get a reply within a couple of days.
Email is the only channel we use: hello@savepost.app
Reporting a bug or a failed download
Bug reports are the most useful thing you can send. Three details turn a report we have to investigate into one we can fix immediately:
- The exact link you tried. Most reports turn out to be specific to one post — a carousel, a reel, an unusual media type. Without the link we can only guess.
- What you expected and what happened instead. “Spinner never stopped” and “said the post wasn’t found” point at completely different causes.
- Your device and browser. iPhone with Safari behaves differently from Android with Chrome, especially when saving files.
A screenshot helps too, but the link matters more. Please don’t paste your Instagram password anywhere — we never need it, and we will never ask for it.
What we can’t help with
So you don’t waste a message, here are the requests we have to decline every time, because no tool can fulfil them:
- Private accounts. We only access public posts. We can’t and won’t bypass privacy settings.
- Deleted posts or expired stories. Once Instagram stops serving a file, it’s gone — we don’t keep copies, and neither does anyone else.
- Recovering an Instagram account. That’s a matter for Instagram, not us.
- Downloading on someone else’s behalf. If you need consent to save it, that’s between you and the person who posted it.
Copyright and takedown requests
SavePost does not host, store, or index Instagram content. Files stream through our server in memory and go straight to your device — we keep no copy of your link or your file. There is nothing on our side to take down.
If you believe the tool is being used to infringe your rights and you want to reach a human about it, write to the address above with the details and we will respond. Please also report the content to Instagram directly — they are the ones who can remove it at the source.
Privacy questions
What we collect and what we don’t is set out in the privacy policy. The short version: no account, no Instagram credentials, and no stored links or files.
