SavePost is a small, independent tool for saving photos and videos from public Instagram posts — single photos, carousels, and reels. Paste a link, tap download, and the file arrives on your device. That's the whole product. There is no account to create, no app to install, and no Instagram password to hand over.
We built it because saving an Instagram post shouldn't mean a screenshot with the status bar baked in, or a third-party app that re-compresses your file and stamps a watermark on it. SavePost downloads the file Instagram itself serves — the same media the app shows you — without adding anything on top.
How it works
You paste a link to a public post. SavePost resolves it against Instagram's own metadata, returns a direct download link, and your browser saves the original file. Downloads stream through our server briefly in memory, then go — we do not keep a copy of your link or your file. This is deliberate: the tool works best when it retains as little about you as possible.
What we stand for
- Honest output. You get the file Instagram stores — no re-encoding, no added compression, no watermark.
- No passwords, ever. We never ask for your Instagram credentials, and we never will.
- Public posts only. We do not access private accounts, and we do not help bypass privacy settings.
- Free. No paywalls, no feature-gated downloads.
Who's behind this

What we don't do
SavePost is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta. We do not claim to recover files Instagram has discarded — if the platform doesn't store a higher-resolution version, no tool can retrieve it. And we don't offer downloads for private posts or for content you don't have permission to save. What you do with the files you download is up to you; please respect the rights of the people who created them.
